How fees work

  • Insurance we work with

We bill your plan and tell you whether we are in network before you book. The list is by type of plan, not by company. Our coordinator checks your insurance card.

    • Most PPO plans

    • Medicaid

  • If you pay yourself

If you do not use insurance, you pay for each visit on the day and we do not bill your plan. We tell you the fee before you book. We keep a few reduced-fee spots: ask us, no strings attached.

  • An estimate in advance

If you pay without insurance, we give you a written estimate before your first visit: what we expect each visit to cost and what it includes. This is your right under federal law. If the final bill is $400 or more above the estimate, you can dispute it.

  • Checking your benefits

Our coordinator checks your benefits and calls you with what she finds, before your first visit. The form on this site does not ask for your insurance number: we ask by phone. Your copay, deductible and coinsurance are set by your plan.

  • What the first visit includes

About an hour, alone with a physical therapist. She listens, examines you with your permission, explains what she finds and agrees on a plan with you. She also explains the risks and the choices. Nothing is decided on day one unless you are ready.

Questions about paying

Does my insurance cover this?

We work with many PPO plans and with Medicaid. Before your first visit we check your benefits and call you to explain what we find. Your plan has the final say.

What if I pay myself?

We give you a written estimate before your first visit. We also keep a few reduced-fee spots: ask us.

Do I need a referral from my doctor?

In Illinois, you can start without a referral. Your plan may still ask for one. If you are not sure, call or message us and we will check with you.

Want to know what to expect?

Tell us how you pay and we will explain the steps before your first visit.
